iOS
has finally made its debut in cars. The product is called CarPlay and will be
added first to Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari and Volvo vehicles. It will also be available
as an iOS 7 update to iPhone 5 and later models. As expected Apple made the
announcement at the Geneva International Motor Show.
BMW,
a former premium launch partner and other companies like Ford, Honda and
General Motors will have to wait a little while longer. Vehicles with built-in
CarPlay are expected to start shipping this year.
CarPlay
will connect iPhones with vehicle’s enabling drivers to make voice calls and
listen to or dictate text messages with Siri.CarPlay is also integrated with
Maps and other Apple apps like iTunes Radio as well as third-party services
like Spotify and iHeart Radio.
It
can be operated via in-car entertainment and communication systems or by
pushing a button on the steering wheel to activate Siri. It’s a significant improvement
in functionality over the gadgets that connected iOS to a car’s USB port.
CarPlay
will compete against Google’s “Project Mode” its initiative to position Android
as an in-car entertainment and navigation system.

Samsung
is focusing on mobile software design with a new product out called Milk Music.
It’s a free streaming radio app for Galaxy Smartphones. Its ad free. It’s
available for Galaxy Smartphone users in the U.S. and it can be downloaded from
Google Play. It’s an iTunes radio competitor. It will also make its way on
Galaxy S5 that’s comes out in April.
Milk
Music is not an app with free music and absence of ads but it also has a
refreshing user interface. It use a dial control for tuning what kind of music
is playing. The circular control allows people to tune to different genres and
sub-genres, and preference can be tweaked further via three sliders that are
called from the bottom of the interface that allow you to adjust how recently
music has been released, how popular it is and how closely it aligns to your
preferred track history.
This
is an interesting app and a good move for Samsung users. But the temporary
nature of pricing leaves a lot up in the air as to how much of value add it is
really over the other competing services.

Google Ara
Smartphone Endoskeleton.
Google
might have given up on Motorola by selling the company to Lenovo last month.
But the search giant is still going all in on its Project Ara a modular
smartphone.
Google
has announced that it will be holding the first meeting of Ara Developers on
April 15th and 16th at Computer History Museum Mountain
View Calif.
Project
Ara is a set of electronic components which can be assembled together to make a
completely customizable mobile phone. If you want a phone with smaller battery
and better camera then simply choose those components and clip them on to a
base called the endoskeleton. If you want a phone with big screen and large
battery then clip those components in the endoskeleton.
Google Ara
Smartphone assembly Components.
The
smartphone is one of the most empowering and intimate object in our lives. Yet
most of us know little like how the device is made, what it does and how does
it look said Paul Eremenko head of the Google project Ara noting that five
billion people still don’t have a smart phone.
Google
said in December that it hoped that Project Ara smartphones would allow the
company “to do for hardware what the Android has done for software”. This means
creating a big collection of third party developers and making it cheaper to build.
It is often a formula for innovative ideas.
An assembled
Google Ara Smartphone.
Google
and its outside collaborators have created a platform which will support three
different size models of phone. This will include a mini platform, medium
platform like a standard phone and an oversize platform like phablet.
The
size of each depends on the endoskeleton. The only component will be powered by
Google as it is opposed to be devised by Third Party Company. But the camera,
sensors, screen and keyboard could be made by outside companies.

Things to be consider while buying a good laptop
Before buying a laptop you must consider some things. After all, there are myriad factors to consider, including size, features, performance, weight, quality and more. But there are some common factors you should consider, regardless of what kind of laptop you are searching for. Here we are providing you what factors to be consider while buying a laptop of your need.
1.Which Os :- Mac OR Windows
Really it doesnt matters much. The main reason that it doesn't matter whether you buy a Windows 7 PC or an Apple MacBook is that the web browsers and most popular software work very similarly on both. Yes, there are differences to the user interface, but the majority of consumers looking for a new home computer won't have a drastically different experience ... particularly if all they do is browse the web or check email.
There is no denying that Apple makes some beautiful, well-built products with elegant designs, but you can find some impressive Windows PCs on store shelves as well. The only "Mac vs. PC" argument that might hold water today is that Macs are still less vulnerable to viruses or other malware (unless you go searching for free Mac software on shady websites). That said, free antivirus programs like Microsoft Security Essentials does a great job protecting your Windows PC as long as you aren't visiting strange websites and clicking on things you shouldn't.
2.Speed
Laptops are 30-100% slower than a desktop with the same features (CPU, RAM, hard drive capacity, etc.). Slower CPUs, motherboards, hard drives, and video systems all contribute to the speed loss.
3.Portability
The main reason to have a laptop or notebook computer is portability - the need to take your entire computer from one place to another. If you don't need portability, then you should probably buy a desktop. Or if you really need portability but don't want the weight and size of a laptop, a well equipped cell phone/pda/net book/tablet might be a good choice. Laptops come in all diferent weights, sizes, and speeds.
4.Expense
Laptop computers cost almost twice as much as comparably equipped desktops. Shocking isn't it?
You can actually buy two comparably equipped desktops for the price of one laptop. So if you have to have a computer in two separate places, you would be better off with two desktops (if they were reasonably close together you could hook them together in a wired or wireless local area network (LAN).
5.Single, Dual, or quad-core CPU.
Unless you're running intensive, threaded applications with regularity, you don't need a quad-core processor and will get more than enough oomph from a current dual-core CPU. We recommend mainstream buyers look for Intel's Core i3 or i5 processors.
6.Voltage consideration
For highly mobile users who spend long stretches away from the office and outlets, consider a low-voltage processor. Low Voltage processors may decrease the performance but you get the effective gain in laptops battery life.
7.Material Quality Consideration
With wafer-thin ultraportables, the materials used for the case are more important than on larger, sturdier laptops. Metals offer better protection (and looks) than plastics. And you don't need to spend a lot to find an ultraportable with a tough aluminum chassis.
8.Carefully listen to Laptop
Check out a laptop's audio system before buying, particularly with entertainment-minded desktop replacements, some of which feature a subwoofer for bigger, better sound. Also, new entertainment laptops with Intel's WiDi technology will let you wireless stream video from your laptop to your HDTV.
9.Graphics Memory For Gaming
If you are planning to play HD games with your new laptop then you must consider graphics memory of the laptop before buying. Graphics can not be changed or upgraded of any laptop. So you must choose laptop of good graphics memory size. We recommend you to have at least 1GB nvidia graphics or for better gaming performance 2GB graphics. With gaming laptops, spend more on the GPU than CPU.
Your Comments are welcome...............
