Samsung Introduces The New Galaxy Tab S
It
has been a long time that Samsung has made a big deal about its Galaxy tablets
but in early hours of July 13th in
New York at Madison Square Garden Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab S.
It’s
a new line of Android tablets with 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch screens. With these
slates Samsung is putting the emphasis all on their Super AMOLED screens which
it claims offer brighter and accurate colors than typical LCD screens. Samsung
delivered one of the most color accurate mobile screens so far with the Galaxy
S5 and it seems like the company brought the same emphasis to the new tablets.
The
Tab S slates also look a lot like the Galaxy S5 with a similar plastic frame
and faux-leather rear cover. The company didn’t say much about the internal
specs of the tablet.
Samsung
is positioning Galaxy Tab S as its flagship tablet line. The tab is just 6.6mm
thick and is the thinnest slates Samsung has ever created.
Galaxy
Tab S also have several screen features that makes it different from its competitors.
It has a sensor that automatically adjusts white balance, which could be useful
when reading e-books a cinema mode optimizes the screen for fast movement and
an Adobe color accuracy mode which could be ideal for photographers and
artists.
If
u have a Samsung Galaxy phone you can also receive calls directly on the Tab S
using a new feature called SideSync. It also allows you to drag documents from
Tab S onto your Galaxy phone vice-versa.
The
Tab S also has a fingerprint sensor integrated into its home button like the
Galaxy S5.For securing the tablet you can also setup the sensor for up to eight
family members to automatically log into their respective profiles.
Both
Galaxy Tab S will be soon available in the market starting at $399 for 8.4-inch
model with 16GB of storage and $499 for the 10.5-inch version.
